Hi there, yes I am back house is clean and 3rd load of washing is in the machine, kids are at school, SB class bag is ready to go to teach and ........ ring ring...... ring ring..... Hi the lady has cancelled (sick kids) and so we cant run the class today. Sorry Theresa, we will see you soon. Bright as I can be (hiding disappointment) OK thanx for calling and I will do something else now.
I have a CJ here to do.... topic... "What Makes me happy". I should just take some photos of my house at the moment as its clean and that makes me happy. I should have taken some photos last week when Jade was up but we had so much fun, I forgot about the camera LOL. There are a lot of simple things that make me happy so not too much of a struggle really.
I have also been putting off experimenting with a folder that I am putting my ATCs in. I want to use texture paste, stamps, ink, paper and flowers. I have all the gear here now and no kids and a clean house so no interruptions. Nothing has come through on job mail today so no applications going in today, but I must do at least one little thing a day to get a job.
A trip to the scrapbook cupboard today will cheer me up a bit and also a double check on the photography club date to attend my first meeting and hopefully be able to pick up some good tips on photography and getting more use out of my fantastic camera or should i perhaps say learning the more technical aspects etc.
take care everyone

It has been a while

Hi Every one, hasnt the time just flown? I cant believe that it has been a month since i posted here. I have been quite busy with family stuff and have completed a couple of circle journals, cleaned house, decided to finally quit Coles although they think I am taking a leave of absence at this stage. I really dont want to have to go back. Anyhooo up the top here is a double page LO of Peta's hens weekend. The photos are courtesy of Rebecca (my sister in law) and an image from our night at Dracula's. We had a great time and I loved Dracula's. I saw these papers in "The Scrapbook Cupboard and knew exactly what photos were at home waiting. I have had a bit of a time thinking of doing these as although I had a great time, it came with a great deal of pain from an injury I sustained during this weekend. I am pleased with them now and my memories of the weekend are a lot more positive than what they were.

This LO is one of my son at Dreamworld just outside where the "old time " photos are done. It was one of last visits there before our passes ran out and it was also David's 40th Birthday and we went out to dinner at one of the restaurants in there. This photo was taken by Peta (my sister in law), Zak is not prone to posing but for her new camera (was new at the time for her) he sort of did.
I will try to get organised to blog a bit more as I am job hunting and house cleaning at the moment.

This LO Won!!!!

I have been entering cybercrops, challenges and all sorts of things for a very long time now. I bought this challenge kit from The Scrapbook Cupboard last month as May's challenge. It was the winning one. I receive June's Challenge kit for free for winning. I cant wait to see what is going to be in it as May's kit was great and it certainly didnt take long to decide what I was going to do. It was one of those LOs where the photos and the papers etc themselves just fell together, plus its not overly my usual style in one way but i dont really have a style, I dont think.
So after feeling a little disappointed in what others have thought of my scrapbooking (meaning judging of LOs etc), I am now feeling a little more confident.
The pics are of my eldest daughter (who is now 17 and a half), when she had her 5th birthday. These were taken at the Castle Hill (sydney) Macdonald's with all of her preschool friends invited from Carrington Road Kindergarten (Castle Hill). So glad I had a decent camera then, I wasnt even into scrapbooking when I took these.
Must go. I have a couple of hours till I start paid work at the local supermarket today. I want to get an over due CJ done before I go.

Some more LOs
I have been soooo very busy the last couple of weeks. I dont know where the time has gone. I will be posting on my other blog later if I have time before work today. I have finished some more LOs: This one is a challenge kit that I bought in April from The Scrapbook Cupboard. This LO was supposed to have a pic of me in it but I ran out of time for it to enter the challenge, so these photos that Peta (my sisterinlaw) took and gave to me looked and worked really well with all the elements of the kit. I think this has turned out rather well.
I must say I am very happy with the results. If you read this Lisa, its not that I didnt want to use a photo of myself, I ran out of time for your challenge and these photos just begged me to use them with the kit.
Here is the one I promised that I would show from the premade kit class that I did for the Stampers Hut a month ago. As I said I have been busy but here it is. Its the one I put the print in as I didnt have an old photo for it:
It is very dark, when I go to do the next class, I will try to photograph it again. I took this in the arcade outside the shop, next time I will have to go outside and use the natural lighting as the fluro lighting is aweful to photograph around.
Thats it for now. I want to go alter a folder that have decided to put ATCs in. I am participating in an ATC swap at The Scrapbook Cupboard and will be getting some back. I loved making mine and they are quick little pieces of artwork that you can still get a crafting "fix" from.
In the meantime

Stamper's Hut Layouts

My classes/workshops are going ok at the stampers hut. The kit was great and their LOs looked great when they were finished. I did one of the kits, as I didnt have a photograph with me, I used one of their prints in the shop for the photo. On Wednesday or Thursday this week, I will photograph that LO and put these ones up for the future classes. I still dont have any old photos of my grandparents etc so I just have to keep aging some of my own photos. The purple LO 's photos have a really pink tinge to them but they are quite like that just didnt photograph well.
One of the wedding LOs are mine but I dont know which one to keep.

I have donte 5 LOs for the shop this week. We also planned for the next 2 months for the newsletter. I am taking page protectors in to hang these on the wall as I dont want blue tack on the back of my LOs, I would rather have it on the page protectors. I may even velcro dot them to the wall, it makes things easier.
I went to the other scrap book store this week (looking for the right wedding colour bazzill for the above LOs) and they had a challenge pack in there. I bought it and have done it too. Wow thats 6 LOs for the week!! We had to used a bit of everything in the kit and only add ink as anything extra. Although I am sure journalling is allowed. I am so happy with how this turned out and it was a "fall together" LO.

Anyhow, I have visitors coming today (Peta and Travis) and my husbands visitors will be coming back this afternoon after their wargaming tournament to pack up and go home. Melanie and I were going to the beach today but the weather is turning ugly. So we are going to make gingerbread men. Hopefully some photo opportunities with just us today.
take care and enjoy your day

What I have been doing
Tess's Organised Chaos says it all this week.
Work work work. That's all I seem to be doing at the moment. I have only done that one LO as featured in my last post. I have been a very very busy bee.
Today I am at the Stampers hut again, for the morning. They chose this kit (cant remember what company) and I havent been given a spare to familiarize (is that a word?) myself with whats in it in case they have 6 booked in. I am hoping it will be smaller but i would say at least 4 today again. This one will be very "heritagy" and I did glance at one pack to see there were some lovely "nostalgics" embellishments.
In a fortnight, we are doing a "frame" LO. I have to make a good start on this tomorrow (hopefully finish it). As soon as its done, I will post again. I will be putting more family matters on my other blog as I want to just keep this here for my scrapping etc.
Thats about it today

A Lot Has Happened Since I Posted Last!!
I have been so busy since I posted last.
First of all I taught a class at The Stamper's Hut loosely based on this LO. I am a little disappointed with my stamping with the foam stamps on this. I pressed a little too hard. Which was a valid point in the class. Lots of white and a small amount of journalling around the actual photo. This is a photo of my DD who turned 15 in November last year. She wanted this dress, its very rare for this daughter to want a dress at all as she is always in shorts or pants, NEVER a dress.

Peta and Travis came down last weekend and Peta and I attended the craft show that was on down here at the Gold Coast.
My ankle is slowly getting better and I am back at work. Now my scrapping obligations are getting out of control. I have 2 circle journals here and I think there is another at the post office for me to pick up. I also want to finish a challenge kit from another of my favourite LSS. I only have 2 more days to start it, finish it and get it out there.
There were too many kids in our boys under 11 teams of hockey so we formed another one and I am now coaching this team. (kinda got roped into it).
Paige is going to Rockhampton for a School girls state championship for hockey, she plays on the South Coast Team and she put in a big effort to gain a spot in this team, the competition was tough!!
Zak had his 11th birthday on Sunday this week. He has followed this up by being selected in
primary school boys state championships for hockey, this is at Brisbane. Him and I were both pretty surprised he got in as he is one of the youngest boys and also one of the smallest so he is very quietly proud in his own Zak way.
With Anzac Day being a day off for everyone we are going to chill here today and hopefully I will get some scrapbooking done today too.
Just gotta catch Mel before she runs off to play with Courtney so we can finish her LO in the Circle journal then its pinning Paige down to do hers.
take care and have fun
thanks for looking and reading

YAY, Its off my mind and real!!
A couple of weeks ago, I taught some lovely ladies how to "play" with shrink plastic. We had heaps of fun!! One of the girls showed me this LO, I must admit that it looked pretty daggy but the idea was good. I told her that I loved the idea and would it be ok to scrap lift it and the answer was ok. I saved the idea in the corner of my mind and even knew what photographs I wanted to use. I just had to find the time to put it together, you see, my family has been unwittingly adding more and more to my plate while I have been off work and I simply havent had the time for anything (read my other blog in links for more info on that). I made time the other day and finished this off Sunday morning before we went to the beach for a while (NOT knowing about Tsunami warnings LOL).
Here is the result:
and with the photo pages opened:

Yes very simple but also very effective. I love my cricut machine. This LO is going to be donated to the cricket club so new members can see what the club does for the juniors, so it will be used in promotional things. I am pleased.
I now after my running around have to get a tin done before Wednesday so I had best stop blogging (you can tell I am getting bored with no work and my ankle is getting slowly better. I am blogging more LOL I wish I could scrap a bit more).
take care and thanx for looking

Making Memories Workshop 7th March 2007
I had a great time at the MM workshop I attended. We were all squashed into a room together but it was OK. I got my personal space issues under control and knuckled down and off we went. This is the first project we did.
I didnt have phots for any of the workshops with me so I have had to finish them all off at home. The first project of the day were these really cute boxes. They really didnt take that long at all to make and they would make lovely gifts for family that they really could enjoy everyday.

Above you will see a mini album this was the second project we did on the day. All I really had to do when I came home was finish the cover and add the photos to it. I decided I would just fill it with DD's individual school photos so we could see the changes in her from then to now. She is a pretty good looking kid even if I do say so myself. I had all the kids school photos out so I just went on with that and so these below are the creations from the 3rd workshop of the day, I really like the little doors on the front so under them I have placed a photo of the DD and DS taken at the same time at school and there is journalling under the other one.

Fourth and final workshop of the day. We got to play with the tagmakers that have been around for a while. As I had never actually used one before, I really enjoyed learning about them etc. I have one now and will probably be putting quite a bit through the tagmaker as there are just so many endless possibilities for it to be used. We did four LOs but I have only posted up 2 as the other ones are not finished yet. Hopefully they will be done this week and I will post them too.

I have to do a heap of things now so take care and I will post again real soon.

The Gorgeous Bride
I dont have a great deal to write. I just wanted to post up some photos of Travis and Peta's Wedding which was on the 9th March just gone. The day was a complete success for them. After it raining on and off all week leading up to Friday, the sun came out in full force and Peta looked absolutely beautiful!! I have just uploaded a few photos for you to have a look at. I have the rest saved here at home and have sent a disc onto Travis and Peta so they have about 200 + photos to gaze through just from my camera, and there were plenty of other shutterbugs up there too. The wedding and the reception were a credit to them both particularly Peta as she did most of the organising etc. Here are some photos and I am sure you will agree that Peta looked absolutely beautiful.
Its not very many but I have been extremely busy with other stuff that I have had to do so these will whet some appetites anyhow.
take care all,
My next post will have a couple of the things we made at the Printblocks Making Memories workshop. With me only going to that 2 days before the wedding, and a week of full time work in Brisbane (commuting on the train has been a real eye opener to another complete other culture). I probably will discuss this more on another blog that I have done with MSN. As soon as I work out how to put the string up like I did for the other links I have here I will do so. Its more a general talking one and not much about scrapping there.
take care (again)

Its March already!!!!!
Where has the time gone??? I have been sooo busy!!!
First of all work has had me really busy up until Peta's Hens Weekend. After juggling work all week, I managed to get the "novelties" to fill the bags. Mind you, those novelties arent very cheap, so Peta is lucky I love her so much. Her wedding is on Friday, I hope sincerely the weather clears up for the day as they are predicting showers on Friday and the wedding is in the Brisbane Botanic Gardens. It should be lovely. I am going to make some wine glass thingys either tonight or tomorrow for the wine glasses at the reception.
The hens weekend was not too bad considering. I actually on the Friday night, rolled my right ankle. We kept dancing and stuff as we all thought it was probably just a bit of a strain. Not me though, I felt something tear and my ankle blew straight up. I didnt take off my sandals as I was frightened I wouldnt get them back on again. Guess what..... a month later and I still cant get them back on my feet yet. I havent worked for over a month now and have only just got off the crutches!! You see, I have badly (dr said severely)torn the lateral ligaments in my right ankle. Not great really. I swing from being happy that I am becoming a couch potato ( I have had to keep the foot elevated for most of the time, I havent been able to do craft as it hurts to have my ankle down too much (although I have done a bit over the last week which has made me feel better), to being depressed as I am grounded, not earning money and have been told I probably wont play hockey again, and no coaching at all this year (next year maybe depending on the stregnth of it).
Enough of my wingeing and whining.
Today, I am going to Printblocks. There is a MM class on today for retailers etc and I have been invited to go along with a craft shop owner today. You see, I thought I was just going to be making some samples for their shop in Ashmore and now I actually teach 2 Wednesdays a month! I did my first class on Valentines day! It went really well. If I get time, I will photograph what I did and the couple of samples I have done for the shop but they are at the shop now so will have to get them back to do it. So finally a foot in the door for my passion and earn a little pocket money as well!!
Next week I snavelled a week working data entry for another company (I am now officially on a recruiting agency's books). It is only a weeks work but I will not have to strain my ankle to do it. I have to contact the agency and see if there are any more temping jobs on the coast that I could go to, rather than going back to the slave labour of Coles supermarkets. Speaking of Coles, I am hoping there are still hours for me when I do go back or if I go back. Keep your fingers crossed that I get more of this temping work as its a foot in the door to changing from drudgery in a supermarket to finally utilising my computer skills. Heres hoping. Anyway, I have to go, Paige has to get up at 6 am now as she starts her classes early and has to catch an earlier bus than before. She slept in yesterday. I also have to get my travelling scrapkit together for a day of playing with MM stuff at Printblocks. I cant wait to see the new products, I have had a drewl catching bib on since they told me I was going just before christmas!!
Oh here is a quickie christmas LO I did for my mum with some stuff i got in a kit from secret santa at work!!

Its not very good as I had the camera on the wrong setting and didnt check before I snapped (half asleep I guess). I used the cricut to make the title. I am loving my cricut. I want a couple of new fonts so I guess I will have to get this darn foot better so I can earn money again.
Have to go, have a great day and thanx for dropping in for a look.
Have fun, I know I am going to. Sorry about the gaps in my blog have been so busy.
