A Lot Has Happened Since I Posted Last!!

I have been so busy since I posted last.

First of all I taught a class at The Stamper's Hut loosely based on this LO. I am a little disappointed with my stamping with the foam stamps on this. I pressed a little too hard. Which was a valid point in the class. Lots of white and a small amount of journalling around the actual photo. This is a photo of my DD who turned 15 in November last year. She wanted this dress, its very rare for this daughter to want a dress at all as she is always in shorts or pants, NEVER a dress.

Peta and Travis came down last weekend and Peta and I attended the craft show that was on down here at the Gold Coast.

My ankle is slowly getting better and I am back at work. Now my scrapping obligations are getting out of control. I have 2 circle journals here and I think there is another at the post office for me to pick up. I also want to finish a challenge kit from another of my favourite LSS. I only have 2 more days to start it, finish it and get it out there.

There were too many kids in our boys under 11 teams of hockey so we formed another one and I am now coaching this team. (kinda got roped into it).

Paige is going to Rockhampton for a School girls state championship for hockey, she plays on the South Coast Team and she put in a big effort to gain a spot in this team, the competition was tough!!

Zak had his 11th birthday on Sunday this week. He has followed this up by being selected in
primary school boys state championships for hockey, this is at Brisbane. Him and I were both pretty surprised he got in as he is one of the youngest boys and also one of the smallest so he is very quietly proud in his own Zak way.

With Anzac Day being a day off for everyone we are going to chill here today and hopefully I will get some scrapbooking done today too.

Just gotta catch Mel before she runs off to play with Courtney so we can finish her LO in the Circle journal then its pinning Paige down to do hers.

take care and have fun

thanks for looking and reading

YAY, Its off my mind and real!!

A couple of weeks ago, I taught some lovely ladies how to "play" with shrink plastic. We had heaps of fun!! One of the girls showed me this LO, I must admit that it looked pretty daggy but the idea was good. I told her that I loved the idea and would it be ok to scrap lift it and the answer was ok. I saved the idea in the corner of my mind and even knew what photographs I wanted to use. I just had to find the time to put it together, you see, my family has been unwittingly adding more and more to my plate while I have been off work and I simply havent had the time for anything (read my other blog in links for more info on that). I made time the other day and finished this off Sunday morning before we went to the beach for a while (NOT knowing about Tsunami warnings LOL).

Here is the result:

and with the photo pages opened:

Yes very simple but also very effective. I love my cricut machine. This LO is going to be donated to the cricket club so new members can see what the club does for the juniors, so it will be used in promotional things. I am pleased.

I now after my running around have to get a tin done before Wednesday so I had best stop blogging (you can tell I am getting bored with no work and my ankle is getting slowly better. I am blogging more LOL I wish I could scrap a bit more).

take care and thanx for looking

Making Memories Workshop 7th March 2007

I had a great time at the MM workshop I attended. We were all squashed into a room together but it was OK. I got my personal space issues under control and knuckled down and off we went. This is the first project we did. I didnt have phots for any of the workshops with me so I have had to finish them all off at home. The first project of the day were these really cute boxes. They really didnt take that long at all to make and they would make lovely gifts for family that they really could enjoy everyday.

Above you will see a mini album this was the second project we did on the day. All I really had to do when I came home was finish the cover and add the photos to it. I decided I would just fill it with DD's individual school photos so we could see the changes in her from then to now. She is a pretty good looking kid even if I do say so myself. I had all the kids school photos out so I just went on with that and so these below are the creations from the 3rd workshop of the day, I really like the little doors on the front so under them I have placed a photo of the DD and DS taken at the same time at school and there is journalling under the other one.

Fourth and final workshop of the day. We got to play with the tagmakers that have been around for a while. As I had never actually used one before, I really enjoyed learning about them etc. I have one now and will probably be putting quite a bit through the tagmaker as there are just so many endless possibilities for it to be used. We did four LOs but I have only posted up 2 as the other ones are not finished yet. Hopefully they will be done this week and I will post them too.

I have to do a heap of things now so take care and I will post again real soon.
